The Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950XL are Microsoft's potentially game changing Windows 10 running smartphones. Ever since the acquisition of the Nokia and Lumia brand, the company has failed to strike a chord with the masses and it is hoped that things will be different with the two new devices.
While there's enough information on when the handset will be available for purchase in the U.S., we didn't have much knowledge on whether India will be on the list at all. But that's changing now with the CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella mentioning that the two handsets will be available for purchase in India starting December.
The release of the two smartphones were always on the cards with the Microsoft India Store listing the products as "coming soon". But with the company CEO now offering clarification on when the devices will be launched, fans finally might have a timeframe to mark on their calendars.
The two smartphones feature modern hardware and come equipped with USB Type C ports. The Lumia 950 and the 950XL feature different chipsets underneath, while the latter also has a larger display and battery. Barring that, the two handsets share a lot of hardware among each other such as the camera, RAM, storage, connectivity options as well as the operating system.
